Introduction

Hi, I'm James, and this is my personal website
This is where I keep the various things that I don't mind associating with my name publically. You probably won't find a lot interesting here, but feel free to look around.

About Me

I love to learn, and to solve problems. The world is a strange and mysterious place, and we may only hope to navigate it through understanding. I like to learn about physics, machine learning, proteomics, botany, and evolutionary biology mostly. I like to play video games, play basketball, and grow plants.

I currently work at IBM as a machine learning engineer. I work on both on both internal and client-facing projects doing work like data architecting and engineering, MLOps and DevOps, and full-stack development. At my job, I've been able to help deliver lots of cool data, ML, and AI solutions for massive clients with diverse data ecosystems, problems, and business needs, including ML pipelines, agentic systems, data migrations, and signal processing pipelines. So that's pretty cool I've worked in teams both large and small, as both a manager and as an individual contributor. I have familiarity with a deep software stack on all 3 major cloud platforms and across a wide range of corporate IT and data infrastructures.
